ALSO Finland
The ALSO group is leading distributor of IT equipment, software, entertainment and consumer and entertainment electronic goods in Nordic countries and Baltics. The headquarter and warehouse of ALSO Finland are located in Tampere. In Finland there are also sales offices in Helsinki, Turku and Oulu.
The focus of ALSO is on reliable and fast deliveries at competitive prices. The aim is to offer the best solutions in logistics in the market and in this way create significant added value in the whole distribution chain. The development of e-commerce is regarded as an extensive strategic area. The share of sales through e-commerce is currently over 75%.
Currently, ALSO represents over 100 manufacturer, among others, such names as Acer, Adobe, AMD, Asustek, Canon, Electronic Arts, Fujitsu, HP, Hitachi, IBM, Intel, Kingston, Lenovo, LG, Lexmark, Microsoft, Samsung, Sony and Viewsonic.
The operation of GNT Finland Ltd started in Tampere in 1995. The company passed to Finnish ownership in February 2000.
In November 2000 GNT expanded to the Baltic countries. In spring 2001 GNT bought the Gametech-game wholesale business. In January 2006, GNT bought Santech Micro Group (Sweden, Norway, Finland) and Hot One Group.
In September 2006, ALSO Holding AG completed the acquisition of a 50.1% stake in the share capital of GNT.
May 26, 2008, ALSO Holding AG acquired the remaining 49,9% stake in GNT, making ALSO the full owner of GNT Group.
In April 2010, all former GNT entities started to operate under ALSO brand

The two european ICT distributors ALSO and Actebis have combined their business at the beginning of 2011. Arising thereby the newly merged ALSO-Actebis Group has become Europe's third-largest distribution and logistics company for information and communications technology and consumer electronics with a turnover of around 6.8 billion Euros in 2010 and more than 3,000 employees.
The ALSO-Actebis Holding AG is headquartered in Hergiswil (Switzerland) and has been listed on the Swiss stock exchange. The German based Droege Group holds a majoritiy interest.
ALSO-Actebis is active in twelve European countries and market leader in seven countries. The wholesale group includes companies in Austria , Denmark , Estonia , Finland , France , Germany , Latvia , Lithuania , the Netherlands , Norway , Sweden and Switzerland .Germany and the skandinavian countries trade under ALSO-Actebis, the other country organizations keep on trading under ALSO or Actebis for the moment.
